One of places in Long Island you should visit if you’re like river rather then beach. Swan river offer clean, cold, freshwater stream, and with a sandy substrate. If you got fishing hobbies, it should be a great place for you, the river itself is tidal, so it will impact on limitation boat docking facilities.
Swan River is one of a few free-flowing, spring-fed streams on Long Island that have remained natural. In addition to native fish populations in Swan River, concentrations of sea-run brown trout occur in the tidal segment below Montauk Highway, during their fall spawning period (September–November).
